STEP #1

Prepare the Surface: First we, remove any old coatings, sealers, or dirt from the existing countertop surface. Sand the surface if necessary to create a rough texture that the epoxy can adhere to.

STEP #2

We then fill any Holes or Cracks: Elite Epoxy uses a high-quality epoxy filler to patch any holes or cracks in the countertop surface. Allow the filler to dry fully before sanding. Masking off Non-Countertop Areas: Using painter's tape to mask off any areas that we want to protect from epoxy. This is crucial for preventing drips and spills on unwanted surfaces.

STEP #3

Mix the Epoxy: Epoxy comes in two parts—resin and hardener—that must be mixed together before applying. Apply the Epoxy: Pouring the mixed epoxy onto the countertop surface. Using a squeegee or roller to spread the epoxy evenly over the surface. Allow the epoxy to dry about 12 hours

Sand and Repeat: After the first coat has dried, we then sand the surface lightly to create a rough texture that the second coat can adhere to. Then apply a second coat of epoxy in the same manner. Some types of epoxy require additional coats for maximum durability and shine.

Mix the epoxy: Pouring equal parts of the Part A and Part B of the metallic epoxy in a mixing container. A recommended mixing ratio is 1:1. Using a paint stirrer or drill mixer to blend the two components well for at least 3 minutes.

Add metallic pigment: Adding metallic pigments to achieve the desired color and texture. Starting with small amounts and mixing well until the desired consistency is reached.

Appling the metallic epoxy: Pouring the mixed metallic epoxy onto the prepared surface and spreading evenly using a roller or brush. We then use a squeegee or trowel to help spread it out and create your desired design or texture. Allow to cure: Allow the epoxy to cure. Avoid touching the surface or using it until it has fully cured.
